There are some books, that even those who hate to read shouldnt miss...

The sort of books that suck you into their world, that can change the way you think and live, that can inspire you and ignite your imagination...

But what are they?

What are the books that everyone should read at least once in their lives...

Which are THE books?

Aah, saw this thread too late. Everyone should read... Harry Potter. Oh, LotR is better, obviously.

And I'm fed up with you sheep-monkeys who think 'aah, can't like Harry Potter, it's for kids' Then off you wander to play on your oh-so mature Playstations.

's a damn good series. Original idea, well written and with obvious success. I cackle as I hoard my meagre monies. Not having gone to see American Pie 2, I actually have the money to see Harry Potter. Muaha...

Humm...there are many.

A couple of years ago I was obsessed with a book series called Animorphs. Couldn't get enough of them. I still need about 20 to finish the collection, but I haven't bought one in months.

I will finish it off though, since I'm on number 39.

The Beach.

Don't worry - it's nothing like the book.

Yeah I'd recommend Dr Seus in this category.

Catch 22 by Joseph Heller. Funniest book ever written. Lock the door, draw the curtains, ignore the phone and don't go out until you've finished it.

The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind (www.terrygoodkind.com)

Look out for a post by me about him, when I get round to actually writing it....

It's a fantasy series, better that Lord of the Rings (my view, one that's not shared by all, I have to admit).
