There are some books, that even those who hate to read shouldnt miss...

The sort of books that suck you into their world, that can change the way you think and live, that can inspire you and ignite your imagination...

But what are they?

What are the books that everyone should read at least once in their lives...

Which are THE books?

Trainspotting.

The film was good, until I read this, then it seemed to be lacking so much.

In no particular order, these are some of what I consider to be the best works from some of my favourite authors:

Magician - Raymond E. Feist
Dune - Frank Herbert
The Seventh Scroll - Wilbur Smith
Charlotte's Web - EB White
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe - CS Lewis
Brave New World - Aldous Huxley
Animal Farm - George Orwell
Catch 22 - Joseph Heller
The Colour of Magic - Terry Pratchett
Blott on the Landscape - Tom Sharpe

I've read most of these four or five times each now, and highly recommend any of them to anyone.
