The Starfox crew are back, Nintendo have confirmed that Star Fox 2, the successor to Starfox Adventures, is on its way to GameCube. We have the fact sheet below with all the info..
Game Summary
Team Star Fox is back for their most intense combat yet, as they engage a new threat by air and by land! A few years after disaster was barely averted on Dinosaur Planet, Lylat Central Command gets wind of a new threat spreading throughout the solar system. The Star Fox team is sent in to engage this new enemy but what begins as a standard combat mission quickly takes a drastic turn. Classic team members, Fox McCloud, Slippy Toad, Peppy Hare and Falco Lombardi, join forces with some new faces to create the most formidable team in the history of this celebrated series: the Star Fox armada!
Features
Switch between flying an Arwing, driving a Landmaster Tank or engaging the enemy on foot as you battle through areas swarming with enemies.
Participate in co-op missions, which are played using split-screen with each player commanding his own vehicle, or play with a "wingman," as one player rides on the wing of the Arwing (or side panel of the Landmaster Tank) and blasts enemies while the pilot drives.
Play through missions solo or plug in with up to three other players.

Granted... but you don't fly against nothing... they've only showed one area obviously and if you read the description they are up against an Armada...

I reckon the game's name is Armada but they've nicknamed it SF2 as it continues Dino Planet's plot (hence Krystal).

The screens don't show any enemy air craft, none of them are in space.
There is no Nova Bomb ammo counter.
And loads of other things.
I thought they teamed up with Namco because they could make a Lylat Wars game, but add intense dogfighting sessions and stuff.
I don't want to sodding run around on foot, I want to get in an Arwing and battle enemies through space with Slippy, Peppy and Falco.

This is a real Starfox game with some land based blasting as well... just another element like the submarine and landmaster...
It's not Starfox Adventures... look at the screens.

This is a real Starfox game with some land based blasting as well... just another element like the submarine and landmaster...
It's not Starfox Adventures... look at the screens.
Not 100% sure if this is armada might be a different game (hopefully)
