this is a description os a new rare game for the x box

A cel-shaded comedy beat 'em up action adventure with the classic 'rescue the gal' storyline. Nice! You play a young chap named Cooper braving a jaunt through a haunted mansion riddled with monsters and booby-traps. There's plenty of variety amongst these foul creatures: spectres, mummies, vampires, undead skeletons and poltergeists are all poised to thwart the plucky young adventurer. Despite the kiddie visuals, Rare is confident that players will be spooked by this hideous house of horrors.


1) hmmm a cel shaded adventure where you have to rescue the girl - errrr sound familiar oh yes thats zelda ww

2)you play through a haunted mansion - errr sound familiar, oh yes thats luigis mansion

3) and they even have the audasity to call the guy cooper (koopa) anyone???

They were okay..
Diddy kong racing was great... but nintendo have the rights thankfully and he's in Mario kart:DD.
And part of the Goldeneye team split to make radical dreamers.

It sounds crap, but at the same time, it sounds good. If you know what I mean.


I think it will be good and I shall get it.

And in all cases Rare's games were second best to the Nintendo ones.


Now, Kameo = Zelda + Pokemon.
We'll have to wait and see how good it is.


But don't forget their own originals, like Blast Corps, Conker and GoldenEye 007.

PD was good but not amazing.

Originally i got my xbox purely on rares decision. I follow the peefect dark wherever it goes. Anyway rare are nororious for ripping things off. They combine elements from two games and make a better one (Dinosaur planet: Zelda meets pokemon). donkey kong 64 borrowed a lot from mario and jetforce gemini.Disney racer thingy (n64) was mario kart meets diddy kong racing gone bad. Rare does this ripping off a lot, but they improve upon the originals. Rare's originals are usually good Perfect Dark (nuff said),
Jet Force Gemini (good), although killer instinct was poor (left over from SNES?)

Basically Rare are very good at what they do with a 9/10 good game ratio

Yeah I agree some screenshots don't look Cel-shaded but others you can tell. Look out for one with fire in as the one that I saw you could see it was Cel-shaded.

Heh, I said I wasn't too bothered about Rare going to Microsoft (before I had an Xbox that is) and obviously, now I have an Xbox, I'm still not too bothered.

Still, Perfect Dark is the only game I'm interested in at the moment.

It doesn't look anything like Luigi's Mansion or Wind Waker and surely the last one is just coincidence?

I will judge it when it's out.

From the screenshots i've seen, it certainly isn't cel-shaded.

It's funny as hell, because all you Nintardos were shouting about Rare being tops when the Xbox 1st launched and you were defending the Gamecube.
