Before you have recommended games which I seem to like so I was just wondering if you could explain a bit what its like, graphics, gameplay etc.
If you have time that is....
Cheers

What is your problem?
You have nothing of intelligence or interest to add to a thread, yet feel the world needs more inanity from another mindless twatty little kid.
Grow up and restrict your posts to those that concern you, or those that you can offer more than moron comments to.
Thank you, please kill yourself.

Whatever happened to US Gold?... After years of destroying my ears with that verion goddawful Yank national Anthem that used to play when you tired to load their games, they just kinda vanished?
Black and White.
You clearly wish you were me.
Personally I think it's better than Allied Assault, the only parts I enjoyed in that were the town/villages levels.
Squad AI is good, you have basic orders but they're not too shabby at operating themselves.
Level design is excellent, dense canopy/sound effects etc really immerse you in the environment. And yup, it's hard -almost impossible on Vietnam setting. But that means you ain't going to burn through the game in a night.
Superb graphics, animation of the soldiers has to be seen. Calling in air-strikes, clearing tunnel systems, defending bases, helicopter mounted-gun shootings, couple of sneaky/stealth missions.
One level is set in a swamp at night, and another has an enormous firefight in the middle involving loads of squads. Absolutely fantastic game. It got low-ratings because the review copies were US Gold, that had problems with frame-rates and some jaggies. But the European release
ironed out those problems and it runs smooth.
Multiplayer? Dont know, dont bother.
But there is a thing called "Quickfight", where you unlock more levels/weapons etc by progressing through the campaign mode. This is basically you and your team in a single, intense firefight against settable AI attacks.
Highly recommended.
Oh, and gerrid?
Shut up, there's a good boy,
Think I shall buy this sometime soon.
Now perhaps :-P
So far my favourite parts of the game have been defending a radio outpost on a hill from a heavy and relentless attack from the VC, leading squads of troops up a hill to capture ruins at the top where the enemy or en-camped and the final mission where you have to defend your base from a huge assault by the NVA.
Also, the A.I. is great, not perfect but certainly not as bad as in games like Black Hawk Down. Your fellow soldiers will keep themselves cover, flank enemy positions and search bodies for extra ammo, you can order them around but there's actually no need to since they can look out for themselves well enough.
Vietcong is great game and if your a fan of the genre you should easily enjoy it, but if your used to more fast paced FPS you may want to think twice. The game is very realistic so the "one shot kill" rule applies and the jungle environment does make it hard to find and kill enemy soldiers, but on the whole even if your not used to this type of game there's still allot to entertain.
Don't trust him.
