The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
The issue also contains a great feature on the influence of PR, a dance article and an extensive preview on Half Life. Finally, they also abandoned review scores, in a way.
When you see it in the shops, be sure to pick it up if you want a good read.

Eh? Their review scores were the only funneh bit in teh whole mag! What are they going to replace review scores with? Wait, lemme guess:
Much Better than GoldenEye
Better than GoldenEye
GoldenEye
Not as good as GoldenEye
Much Worse than GoldenEye
Am I close?
NOM is awful imo, it's just pandering to Nintendo at a ridiculous level. i understand that an official mag is going to be somewhat biased, but it's so predictable, Mario Sunshine=best platformer, Zelda=best rpg (although i'm with them on this one, it's ace :) ), Mario Kart=best racer, pikmin=best game involving pikmin.. they just seem to base the mag around tongue-holing nintendo... and that gets on my nerves.
still, to each their own..
oh, and get this months copy of gamesmaster mag, the mags not too great, but the dvd has the last episode of gamesmaster tv on it and it's pretty cool.. if only to mock Dave Perry and his sour grapes at failing on Mario 64 so badly :)
So I read NGC - the only intelligable Nintendo magazine out there.
'Superman 64 - pushing pins into your eyes would be preferable to playing this game, and less painful.'
'its funny because its true' - homer j
I also prefer jibbering incessantly in corners, drinking milk out of cartons, wearing slippers on my hands and dancing to the music in my head.
> Edge is a great mag but i prefer NOM

Quite a contrast there.
Edge - for the intelligent, older kind of reader.
NOM - for complete and utter retards.
