PS2 is currently going a bit awry with me, 15 months later.

Bah. The free one should arrive very soon. After the carphone warehouse screwed me around, their crap couriers screwed me around (and still may continue to), I guess sony are going to screw me around too.
I'm begining to wish I'd never bothered. Could have had a nice phone with good reception, but nooo, not me. I had to go for the free PS2 with added getting screwed around by everyone involved.
Ah well, at lest I'll have a use for the PS2 stand play randomly sent me... :^S

Here's some good reasons:
Cheap materials.
Poor design.
Faults that seem to occur around 13 months after you bought it (and therefore out of warranty) which include:
• Sound quality decreasing on DVDs
• Sound volume dropping considerably on DVDs
• Sound fading from PSone games until they eventually stop playing.
And various other faults which seem to generate.
Note: This isn't a fanboyish comment - I'll gladly play on a working PS2 - but seeing as my brother's PS2 has had various problems just outside of warranty, as have one of my best friend's PS2, plus many many others, then I have to say I advise against buying a PS2.

I own my PS2 for the Pro Evolution Soccer, GTA, GT and Final Fanatsy games. Also in my opinion Jak and Daxter is far superior to Mario Sunshine and if you like beat em ups (which i dont) PS2 has more of those to offer than cube.
Everything else i want is on gamecube and is usually better quality. However the games i have mentioned on PS2 are reason enough to own one, even though i play my cube more.
