Me and my brother probably look after our consoles better than anyone else in the world! I pride myself in having mint condition consoles and games and very rarely buy anything pre-owned for a pre-owned game that was traded in somewhere by someone after a month is rarely in as perfect condition as my most played games!

I can assure you that my brother has taken excellent care of his Playstation 2 - the fault is due to Sony's extremely cheap components and their wish to make more money out of us. Thankfully, my brother has switched to being mroe of a PC fanboy, and so he wont be pumping more money into Sony's pockets for the mean time.

Granted, it seems those approx two years or older seem to be working fine, but I have heard many problems from those with consoles less than 24 months old. It seems like a common problem which Sony may have planned for getting money from 'repairing' consoles.

i have all three and i have to say that the best is the ps2 followed by the gc, because of zelda, then lagging behind is xbox.

Bah. "That's stupid" should have been where I've moved it to now.

I have a GC, there are a few games on the Xbox I would like. The PS2, on the other hand, I have absolutely no interest in.

Matt himself has stated there aren't actually any games he's interested in, and just wants a PS2 for no reason.

At least the Xbox has some games that he might be interested in, because at the minute it seems like the XBox and GC are the prime choices for most gamers.

That's stupid.

Some of you folk are really odd when it comes to things like this.

You attack the console just because "you" don't like it.

Anyway in response to the original post if you are considering getting a PS2 then games Like SOCOM: Navy seals, pro evolution soccer 3 and a good few of the ones at E3 all look worth getting.


I'm a happy PS2 and gamecube owner. Would get an XBox if I could afford having all 3 but I can't.

Well, Ive got a PS 2 and wouldn't buy an XB.

Would rather invest into a GC.

Why would you want a PS2 and not an XBox?
