Microsoft would be Afroman. The Xbox will get itself to the top by being absolutely everywhere, but after everyone has bought one they'll realise that it's crap, and not much more than a one-trick pony.
Nintendo are the Super Furry Animals. There's much more to them than you think, they seem happy and fun, but when you really get into them, they're much, much better than you initially thought.
Sega were East17, now they're Pete Waterman.
