Similar to last year, we are now about to enter another drought satge for the Gamecube. Take yourselves back a year and remember what happen. We were given SSBM, Pikmin and a few more games and after mid June it all went incredibly dull. Nothing till early September!

Now it's the present and we find out the likes of Mario Kart and F Zero aren't out till Novemberish! The earliest decent game looks to be Soul Calibur 2, however it's onl;y been penciled for Autumn. I know it sounds childish but I thought this wasn't going to happen again. Mario Golf out in July for America while we get it next year! What's going on? Any thoughts, release dates or updates post it here.

Yeah, a drought would also be good for me. As I've said before I've got lots of games to finish :)

It's an alright game. The good graphics make it playable. I was playing starfox but then came along metroid and starfox got brushed aside :)

To be honest.

A gaming drout will be good for me, I don't purchase games on a regular basis, due to a severe lack of money. So this "drought" lets say will let me pick up the Xbox/Gamecube games that i've missed out on, Like Zelda and Metroid Prime.

Drought = Good.

With regards to the FF:CC issue about turn-based vs real-time combat, I think it's good that Nintendo gets a fresh Final Fantasy adventure that's different from the PS2 series. Though the PS1 & PS2 FF games are very good, they do tend to over complicate things with all the spells, stats etc, and you often feel you're just watching an interactive movie than playing a proper game, so real-time combat using gamers' finger skills instead of their mental powers will be a refreshing change for the stale series.

Anyone who has ever played (and no doubt loved) Secret of Mana on the SNES, will be eagerly awaiting this new title.

I don't mind it, but there's nothing more for me to go back to it for, except to open the cheats and get that extra 1% completed. Whoopedoo!

I aggree Final Fantasy is a superb RPG series however the one coming out on gamecube is an action RPG from what i have heard and not turn-based. If this is true i probably wont get it which is shame because i love FF games.

In my opinion from what Kingdom Hearts was like (an action RPG made by Square) FF:CC will be no were near as good as the FFs on the Playsations because all kingdom hearts involved was repeatedly pressing the same button to do the same repititive attacks whereas turn based involves stradegic thinking and not mindless button pressing.

Perhaps Square are guilty of thinking nintendo is for kids so they are making there RPGs for gamecube as simple and as 'kiddy' as possible to play. They may think making a turn based FF for nintendo is stupid because kids will find hard to play. Off course we all know the nintendo is for kids stuff is rubbish but lets just hope Square realise that and make the new FF on gamecube turn based.

I still have to beat Bowser on Luigi's Mansion (probably won't bother with the hard mansion), finish metroid prime, starfox and Zelda. The order I will do it in? Zelda, Metroid, Luigi and Starfox.
