I really haven't read much, apart from the Harry Potter series my ex got me to read, and a few Terry Pratchett books. So I really want to start reading something new. I did enjoy some books I got from the library, The Time Machine and Around the World in 80 Days. I had fun reading them. =)
I remember in other book threads on here, 1984 would be mention a lot. I'm guess it's a good book?
I found this nice list that the BBC did 4 years ago, some kind of Big Read and here are the top 100 books. How many of these have you read? So far I'm at 6/100. =(

Holes Louis SacharIt really is embarrassing which books I have read (ie the Harry Potter ones!), and also how very few of them. The likes of War & Peace, The Godfather, Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Count of Monte Cristo or Crime & Punishment I really should read one day; obviously I'm not counting film adaptions I've seen. :)
I'd like to see The Day of the Jackal or Empire of the Sun in that list though. Damn, I reading enjoyed those.
Oh and Billy Bathgate.
