The film begins with a wine seller by the name of Alex Gates (Jack Nicholson) who's live is on a proverbrial sea-saw through time. One minute, he has money to burn, the next, he needs to sell everything he has to stay financially afloat. However, he and his friend Victor Spansky (Micheal Caine) come up with the brainchild of a plan to steal a necklace, worth millions of dollars. However, Gates has family, in his wife, Suzanne (Judy Davis) and his son, Jason (Stephen Dorff). Gates has to keep his family out of his personal affairs, whilst carrying out a slippery task. Despite his attempts, his family become intertwined into the plan. It all begins when Suzanne finds Alex packing. At first, he lies about where he's flying to and then a real argument begins. This despute ends with Alex beating Suzanne until he can get the tickets, but being the strong woman she is, the manages to fight back and bludgeon Alex unconscious. Suzanna and Jason then make a swift getaway, to a local friend's boathouse. Alex and Victor then attempt to find Suzanne and Jason, and luckily for him, he is able to track them down. Then, Alex's main objective is to obtain the necklace. He may have to take lives, but he, nor Victor care. At one point, Suzanne and Jason are being persued by Victor and Alex in a harrowing car chase, with dramatic consequences. Not only now is it an attempt to find the jewels, but to make sure that he, his friends and his family are safe.
Blood and Wine is a flightly unusual film, but a great film nonetheless. It runs at a rather slow pace, but it works to good effect. The storyline is something not seen in a while with all these "futuristic" films being plugged in the last 2 or 3 years. The script is very good, with little or no mistakes or meaningless parts of the script. A large appearence by Jennifer Lopez is welcomed, as she plays the role well and Jack Nicholson and Micheal Caine play the ultimate team of villains. If you are looking for something that's a cut above the rest and a little different, then check this film out. With action and the correct mixture of violence and drama, this is a film too good to miss.
Thanks for reading.

what exactly is the 'correct mix of actoin and drama'? is
> there a time limit or a certain amount of blows/hits?
you little necropeado
> 'gameing horse'
Firstly, I am not a "little necropeado gameing horse". You spelt Gaming wrong and what the hell does necropeado. If you watched enough films, you would know what I mean. Too much action is just stupid and too much drama just gets boring. Oh, thanks Goatboy for that little comment on this miscreant here! Cheers. Gaming Guy.
You have issues.
Chimp
> I saw a bit of it. I recognised Stephen Dorff instantly. Oh, WHAT A BIG MAN I
> AM! And the bit with the poker was ammusing.
That's all I saw though before I went to watched Cast Away.
You should have stayed with it - it was really good. Did you watch Cast Away on DVD then? Must be I guess. Is it any good? Cheers. Gaming Guy.
She backhands him - good strike.
He whacks her across the face - even better.
She picks up a poker and hit him - fantastic.
She hit him again with the poker - even more fantastic.
He falls on the floor with a satisfying thud - classic Jack Nicholson.
That's all I saw though before I went to watched Cast Away.
