Iam ordering a few Region 1 DVD's and will need a Region cracker for PS2. I've seen Region X but theres a new one in the SR magazine that is 21.99. It includes Remote, Scart cable and the DVD code disc. One of the DVD's iam getting is RCE which means that it wont play on some multi-region DVD players. Iam pretty sure that Region X does RCE but I dont know about this new bit of kit. I am not too fussed about the remote so, or cable as I use the orignal. So is it wise to stick with Region X or try out this new bit of kit?

At the risk of upsetting SR, I got my RGB SCART lead from Game for a fiver.

Although SR's may be better quality (i.e. shielded), as I do get some picture interference from the normal TV in certain weather conditions, and I'm thinking of getting a better one.

(And that is the truth, I'm not just trying to get back on SR's good side after recommending Game!)

Cheers Wookiee. I thought I would need a RGB scart cable. Is the one from SR worth getting? Its £12.99 and gets rid of the green screen from the DVD. I have a NTSC compatable TV.

You will need an RGB SCART lead to view R1 discs, as I believe the composite lead supplied with the PS2 gives strange colours.

You will also need an NTSC compatible TV, otherwise you will have a black and white picture from the R1 discs.

I might actually get the new Action Replay as that has DVD-Region X built in. With these DVD region brekes like Region X will I have to get a new Scart lead? as I use the orginal lead still.
