Without Halo, the 'must have game' of the year (apparently), the Xbox would have sunk, because people were already skeptical as it was a new entry to the market as well.
Everyone knew that with the Gamecube we would get smash hit games such as Zelda, Mario, F-Zero, Mario Kart etc.
Only there is nothing impressive about Microsoft's entry to the console market, other than the amount of money they used to buy their way in.

Ok, so Halo was a pinnacle acheivment for the Xbox, Xbox would have probably had to work harder if it did'nt have the game.

The new Return to Castle Wolfenstein game is another Killer App and I am slo very surprised at how well it actually plays. There are a LOT of great games for the Xbox it just that a lot of people choose to just blab them off without even playing them at all.
You have a strange feeling of doubt because you think everyone should own a Nintendo system and nothing else. I didn't even get Halo for my Xbox for about 2 months after getting it. In the mean time I got Max Payne, Dead or Alive 3, Amped, RalliSport, Jet Set Radio Future, Oddworld Munch's Oddysee and a traded a few in amongst other purchases. You lose the argument straight away when you come out with a pathetic comment liike you just did.

I wanted Oddworld because when I had a PSone, those we're my faveourite games.
