There's a game on the Xbox about giant mech robots with a huuuuge arcade board with around 70 buttons and one eject button, encased in glass. If your Mech robot is about to die in the game, you break the glass and press the eject button, and then you have to start the entire 40 hour game again. I forget what it's called. It's something japanese and the controller (it's more like a switchboard) costs about £250. I may have got some things drastically wrong, but that's the gist of it. It's only out in Japan though.
Now that's a harsh punishment for dying.

You could do something right at the start which would make it impossible to finish the game, but you wouldn't know till you'd been playing it for HOURS!!!
