Well that went well.

Actually, no it didn't.

Got the kits for the second team, just about got up there in time, only to find they were short on players and wanted me to play.
I actually quite enjoyed it. Admittedly i'd not played for 2 months, was out of shape and very rusty, but i scored 4 points (both baskets with my non-dislocated non-shooting shoulder), and got to play point guard, which was nice.

Also, i got to wear my no. 41 vest, which i thought i'd put through with the team's kits for printing. I AM G-MONEY :^)

We lost comfortably, but it was fun, and the competetive edge was secondary.

Then the first team game, which i'd have to ref. (First time i've done it).
To cut a long story short, it almost ended in a brawl (not actually that uncommon) and at half time the experienced ref who'd refused to do the game took over from me.
Still, i'm not a qualified ref, and everyone knew what they were letting themselves in for (except me :^) ), so they can't really complain.

Now let us never speak of it again.

:^)

So I didn't buy Resident Evil on the GameCube yesterday, but I did get some CD's. I went to the cash point to get some money out for the CD's first, and that went fine. Then, after i'd got the CD's, I went back there to try and get another £50 out for the game, but the machine was bloomin' broken!! So i'll either get it later today, or tommorow afternoon. :(

Oh, and these are the 4 CD's I managed to pick-up from Virgin:

System of a Down's self-titled debut album
Taproot's debut album 'Gift'
Incubus - 'Make Yourself'
Tenacious D's hillarious debut effort - nabbed the last one too! :D

I saw a couple of others that I might have got, but I decided to get these ones as the total came to just under £49 - great value for money! :D
I looked at all their "2 for £22" and "5 for £30" deals and that, but there was nothing that good I could make up out of it.
I prefer Virgin to HMV for some reason, but I think i'll go elsewhere next-time, just because I know they have more there, and it's apparently a lot easier to find what you're looking for.
And that'll probably be in another 2 weeks or so.

Wow, just need 10 people, paying £20 each, to get referee training, then there'd never be any basketball problems again :^)
Could maybe even bill some of it to the club...

Well there's me and probably Lee. Just need 8 more people who'd actually want to do it...
