Horrible, horrible bad day today. I was shaking the tomato ketchup to but on my sausage sandwich this morning, i didn't realise i'd already taken the top off (for a split second i thought about checking the lid, but i was sure it was on). Seconds later i had a ship load of ketchup all over my nubuck coat.
Went into town to get it dry cleaned - it needed specialist cleaning, would have to be sent away, it'll cost £35 quid and not be back until after christmas.
Now with a cheapskate's instinct, i'd been able to get the great coat (pale brown nubuck number, suits you sir), which passed for well over £100 easily, for £40, so rather than spend £35 getting it done up a little, i thought i'd chance it to see if the shop had any more - i'd bought it a long time ago, but not too many people go to the place. But no, denied, as expected, it'd need the cleaning.
Thing is, we're talking the rest of the year plus some without a coat, so i had to go buy a replacement anyway, but that is a great coat which i love, so it was getting cleaned. Great coat.
So all in all i'm down £75 purely because i was a dumb twit and didn't check whether i'd taken the lid off the ketchup.
Well there goes Tony Hawk's 4 and Mario Sunshine this side of christmas.
I had a look at them in game, felt them slip through my fingers (no, i didn't drop them :^) ).
The woman at the dry cleaning place looked at the stain: "Oh, that is nasty isn't it, i'd kill whoever did that if i were you"
Yeah, i might just.
