what a great story. It sounds like you had a good night. Are you planning to go back soon.

The evening went as follows:
10pm go out walking to bars with sister, looked up to the very clear night sky... sister thinks I'm weird for doing that.
...get to first bar, get paranoid inside as 4 austrian girls keep looking at me while sister gets the drinks (she knows how to order beer in german)
have 2 (1/2 pints) beers sitting outside...

Bar closes front doors, we move on 2 bars down (right next to a club where only men were going into)
Rather fine lady talks to my sister, goes away and comes back with drinks of evil (she was wearing union jack top)
I down drink like they did but without chasing it with beer (trying to look cool, flippin' eck that was strong stuff lol)

met lady again at sinks outside toilets, tried to say something in german she smiled.

some time later and 3 more pints we find out that bar below is lap dancing club as men emerging from it come out of there with rather more than a smile showing (my sister noticed that)

another beer and me singing in bar at table to songs such as 'I'm proud to be an austrian' and some right said fred we move on to another bar (not without saying goodnight to nice bar girl :) )

Move on to last bar arrive in the middle of a fight between 2 guys one guy has very blood soaked nose....
too many drinks to count later and some guy is hitting on my sister using the line "I am your sexy Euro"
The ladies in this dance bar were also nice but since my phrases in german are limited ( I figure 'Ich liebe dich' is a bit much to break the ice)
End of the night rolls round and we make our way back to where we are staying (whilst freezing as I went out in jeans and short sleeved shirt).
Got back at 5am (7 hours after we left) had a really bad hang over the next morning

one week later I'm back home and my sister goes out for the night back there.... nice girl kept asking where I was for most of the night :)
shame I wasn't still there :(

and that was the story of the night (in probably a lot more detail than you were expecting lol)

I go to austria and whats the only phrase I can think of when I can't understand something in the bars was 'Ich spreche kleine deutsch'

but it didn't matter as most of the nice bar girls spoke english :)
especially the one who bought me a drink (one of the most evil high % alcohol availiable in the bar) heh heh heh

i only did german for ayear then i dropped it. that was 2 years ago. now all i can remember is the crappy programme they made us watch "hello aus berlin" and the phrase "ich bin eine hunde." what does that mean?

Iblame that on tiredness...
