Why I Don't Play Games Anymore v3.0
Heh. Last game(s) I bought were Soul Calibur II and Second Sight at the beginning of the summer. Both very enjoyable (SS especially, real cracker that one and a friggin' steal at a fiver). The real point is though that I just don't feel the pull towards playing games that I used to. I've lost the sense of wonderment and excitement and generally really can't be arfed with them anymore. In fact, the games I've played most often in the past year or so have all been N64/SNES games. Before SCII and SS I hadn't played on my 'Cube in ages. And I'm not really anymore now, now that I'm done with them. Smash Bros still gets a run out but only for multiplayer purposes. That's about it for regular Cube play. Yet Perfect Dark, Street Fighter, Mario World and Sensible Soccer are still heartily enjoyed, albeit much less frequently than when I was younger.
Basically, it's not an issue I've got with the Cube and the games available for it. It's an issue I've got with playing games at all really. I just don't seem to want to do it very much anymore. That said I do still get NGC every month more out of force of habit than anything else but I do still enjoy reading it and feel somewhat obliged to at least keep up to date. I could of course check websites but I prefer having paper in my hand... Jeez, that makes me sound old :-)
> 1) What price are the Xbox 360 and PS3 gonna be?
Xbox 360 price point is still unconfirmed atm, but Wal-mart accidentally let slip the "supposed" price of $299. It also looks set for that to translate Pound for Dollar. The PS3 is reported as being quite expensive, with Ken Kutaragi (the Sony Boss) quoted as saying, "I'm aware that with all these technologies, the PS3 can't be offered at a price that's targeted towards households." I wouldn't be su[rised if it retails for upwards of $400.
> 2) Will both have a hard-drive?
Yes, with the 360's being removable and upgradable.

PS3, no doubt about it. That's in terms of raw graphics and processing power, though. If you look at the whole package, the 360 is veeeeeery tempting. They already have an extablished LIVE serivce, which is set to expand and develop for the next generation, plus there are rumours that Perfect Dark 0 will be a launch title... need I say more? :D
Tomorrow.

*PS3 looks more appealing by the second*

I'm totally out of the loop when it comes to other consoles. I'll probably end up getting a PS3 or Xbox 360 as well as a Revolution, but can people help the birthday boy out here?
