The people that do the real sport do it for fun have a no 'Fear' Factor :D

Even when the games are no where near realistic as real life but still, the games bring more of us into the the world of extreme sports and pain is such a common thing to them its nothing :)

Look at Matt Hoffman, Ouch!

You could try on one of those indoor snow slopes. Not sure where they all are. There's one in Milton Keynes I think. That might be a bit better.

That's exactly what I was thinking!

I've seen it happen so-many-times on TV where people have got their arms and legs caught in the dry slopes.

I really don't get how they think dry-slopes can work though, surely they could create something moist that actually simulates real snow??

I don't think I'll bother then, I'm allergic to pain! :)
There must be something I can do to pass these 12.5 months though....

I've never been into skateboarding, unlike everyone-else.
After seeing videos of people grinding and then slipping to find the bar between their legs, and also seeing others fall smack, bang, flat on their faces, I never wanted to even go anywhere near a skateboard! :S
But I do enjoy the Tony Hawk games though...

Yer, 360s are quite hard. 180s are quite simple, but trying to get all the way round is harder than it looks!

erm... not sure. Guess it could help a bit, but I could see it being quite different than actually doing it on real snow. And there's the fact it'll hurt helluva lot more 'when' you bail!

I haven't played the N64 version, but there's no doubt that I WILL definitley be getting as-soon-as it's released over-here.

Although I haven't played it, I think that 1080 on the N64 is one of the main things that really got me into snowboarding, after seeing some of the cool stuff you can do. I doubt I'll be doing any 360-mid-air spins or anything, but I'd still just enjoy flying down the snow on a snowboard.

Do you reckon it's worth me trying it out on dry slopes first?
I know someone who works at a ski place, so maybe he could get me discount...? ;)

They can be helpful some times, but they can also be a real pain. They can go on and on and on.
I like manuals on Tony Hawk Pro Skater games as I find them simple to do.
