Bloody hell, staring out of the window just gets better and better round here.

I was just looking into space, when:

"Honk"
"Screech"
"Crunch"

Car accident.

I couldn't see it, but it sounded like it was just on the other side of a building across the road.

Would it be cheap to go have a look?

I find that there's nothing quite like the leaf-mosaic of streetlights lights in the early hour.

Looking out of the window is always more interesting than doing uni work, but just now was a special treat for south-facing procrastinators in my north-eastern slum city.

Lights in the sky always make a bit of a change from looking into the black (or dark blue). When they blink in a novel pattern you know you're in luck.
But when the lights pull a sharp change in direction and speed up like a ninja who suddenly realises he has to run to catch his bus, this is the stuff saner people than I have gone alien-conspiracy-theory over.

And of course 4.50 am is probably a decent time to do some secret military aircraft testing. Nobody credible is awake at this time.

I'm sure there's a perfectly innocent explanation, but what acceleration!

I wish I was a military test pilot / alien.

Hmm, dunno that one but there are lots of ones like that.

Bill Bailey - "Someone once asked me whether to me a glass was half empty or half full. I'd say it depended on what was *in* the glass. Water? Wine? Was it blood? Was it used in a sacrificial context. And then they said, it was ok, they'd ask someone else instead.." :)

There is half a glass of milk. An optimist says "It is half full". A pessimist says "It is half empty". I see the glass and say "It is sour".

^ More kudos than before for that reference :-)
