I live in the grounds of a factory, so I can practise all I want out of office hours. I'm a confident driver and I've never even had a lesson. :-)

I had my first driving lesson today (FINALLY!!)! It wasn't that bad, either...

It started off boring. For the first 45-minutes of the lesson he was just talking me through what-did-what, and really simple things like how to change-gear, and how to turn the engine on. But after all that (which I should never have to sit through again! :D ) I got to drive!

I cacked myself at first, as I didn't actually realise I'd have to drive in my first lesson. But it didn't really go so badly, and he did say that I did well for my very-first attempt (which it was).
I started off veeeeeerrry slowly, but once I got going, I wasn't so bad.
I didn't go off course or anything either, and managed to steer the thing pretty-darn-well (thanks to a lot of experience from playing Burnout and Need for Speed). And I'm quite confident I can do well in the next-lesson (next Tuesday) when we'll be doing more "Stopping and Starting", and "Turning".

I like driving. :)
