I remember years back while I was doing my paper round, my brake cable broke where it attached to the lever on the handlebars. I tried to hold it while I finished the deliveries, but lost hold of it, it got tangled into the front wheel, and sent me over the handlebars, then the rest of the bike on top of me.
About five minutes later I managed to untangle myself from the bike, with (somehow) nothing too badly hurt. Luckily it was a quiet road.

My knee kills!
I was riding my bike to hockey training and the chain fell off while I was trying to pull away in a really high gear!
The pedal span round, my knee smashed onto the handlebar and the person in the car waiting for me to drive past just laughed as I limped onto the pavement dragging my bike...
