Looks like Chipseh has done it. Could be a little premature but well done to him. It's nice for a Ninty to get notable.

Oh the (sort of) irony...

Okay, irony's pushing it.

Anyway, sorry for the double post.

Dude. This could just be the best day of my life.

Getting away with my exam this morning ruled. It was followed by some fairly laid back revision and stuff.

Then I had a go on Burnout...

Going for the Time Attack record on the US Marathon, for fastest lap. I decide it's my last attempt before going to the co-op.
First lap - nothing special.
Second lap - rip open the Time Attack best, lapping in 5.32.something, beating the previous by 8 seconds, and crashing only once.

Third lap - okay, pressure's off, just take her home and get that second lap time saved.
Half way through - no crashes and I'm flying. All of a sudden the pressure makes its re-entrance.

Finish with an incredible lap - no crashes, driving flat out, finish in 5.25.483
I've lapped without crashing on the US marathon before, I bagged it long ago in survival mode, but never driving flat out like that.

The lap was as close to perfect as I'll probably ever see. It was awsome.

If anyone can lap faster, I'd love to see them do it, because I'm never going to nail that kind of time again.

Happy days.
