um.. yes. I freeze and stutter all the time when around a special someone. It sucks like poo, to freeze aswell. Hence I always adopt the approach of trying NOT to make me regret things later on caus that feeling bites even more..

Yep, but I didn't want to go pop it :^)

Solskjær, if you don't mind me putting in my two cents:

Freezing up. Been there. And the whole 'making it blatantly obvious' thing..

In my opinion, it's better to say something, albeit garbled and lame, than nothing. Especially on one-off things like birthdays.
At least that way you can try, and maybe fail.
Even failing is better than never trying at all.

And for the people you work with? Ultimately, you like a girl who they happen to know. So what? If they want to make something of it, let them. Each one of them will have been in the same position themselves.

I know it's not easy, on either bit of advice. It's taken me a while to realise it, but never trying is almost always worse than failing, 'most men take too few risks, not too many' (to quote.. someone).
And other peoples' opinions aren't really that important. Especially when they hold you back.

Any plans for your next steps?

If I were you, next time I see her, I'd ask what was wrong on Sunday, say happy birthday, mention that you didn't get a chance before, and have a nice chat.

Even if you do feel like freezing :^)

Good luck

Sunday didn't really go quite as well as planned, in the end...

Instead of going round the corner and getting her a Birthday card on Thursday, I - for some reason - decided it would be a better idea to go play football, first, and to "get the card later"...
But I completely forgot about it!

Went to work on Friday, but didn't really get the chance to go up to the office and see her, with so-much-else going on in the yard. Watched her walking off towards her car at the end of the day, though - Oh yes! ;D
But she wasn't in Saturday, so I didn't get the chance to see her again until Sunday - her Birthday...

She came in - eventually - looking very "down-in-the-dumps" and she walked-on, ignoring every-one of us who was working outside, with even glancing or smiling - let alone saying "Hello"!
I tried to say "Good morning" or "Hello", but when I saw her looking like she did, I just, kind of... 'froze', and couldn't make a sound!
And it was the same when she left - she still ignored us, even though we all said "Goodbye"....

Either, she didn't want to come-in for her usual half-a-day of work on he Birthday; or she was feeling 'upset' or 'hurt' because she hadn't recieved the early "Happy Birthday" wake-up she was hoping for, or something...??

I dunno... I can't read minds - I'm no Derren Brown!
But whatever it was, it seemed like the perfect chance for me to show her that I 'care' - even with just a simple "Happy Birthday for you today, isn't it?", I believe that could've made all the difference.

And, instead, I'm now kicking myself for freezing-up like that!

Went to work on Monday, but she wasn't in. So, I won't get the chance to see her again until Friday, when I work again - unless I want to go in today, for no "apprent" reason; making it clear-as-day that I've got feelings for her to everyone else.

And to make things seem that extra bit worse, on there was also a post-it note someone had written saying she "loves Justin" - raising my suspicions that she may already be with someone.
But there's no Justin at work - at all...
I can only hope this is simply a "childish" thing about Justin Timberlake, and nothing else...!

But I must find out... Somehow....?

Proper bo!

I'll look into it all.

I have this paint I used on my shelf thing here and I put the SP up to it and its pretty much the same colour. I might just leave it, it may cause me to be less bothered about it in the future.

Danke.

Don't know.

I doubt you'd get a close enough match for the paintwork to stand up to close inspection, and I imagine it'd be tricky to disassemble the whole SP so that you could safely spray the whole casing. Trickier than the cube was.

Still, you can get scratch-covering paint things for cars. There are some that you can just paint over small scratches on the car's body, and the paint will (I believe) sort of blend to the main colour of the car body, to give a proper bo finish, I tell thee.

Never used the stuff, so I don't know what your chances of success are, or how well it'd turn out on an SP, but if you do want to cover the scratches it'd definitely be worth looking into.

Ask at halfords, car scratch cover paint stuff. They'll hopefully know what you mean.

Oh and it was lucky the SP is in a clam case style. Or that screen would of got totally buggered.

Maybe I could just get like some paint and splash it on to look like one of those shirts people wear these days.

Then I'd look trendy and like I don't give a crap.

Seriously though, will the silver paint stuff I have cover up these scratches?
