I'd assume you'll be going dutch, unless she's too cheap ;^)
I get the impression most women in my age range don't like to feel 'bought', or that they owe you something.

Heh. That was my tactic too, I'm in no hurry for the 40 minutes :^)

Ah, tell them you're contageous, and you'll make all the rest of their short staff ill too.
Unless it's 'her', in which case you may want to re-think describing yourself as a diseased health-hazard :^D

Ask for a switch. They're just like credit cards except that they take money directly from your account and don't let you go overdrawn.
I really suggest you, and anyone else, avoids racking up credit card debt. So using a switch instead is no problem.
I'm 99% sure they'll give you a switch card, and if they don't, pretty much any other bank will.
Rahh!!! :D Go Newcastle!
But my mum's adamant 'someone' will still be able to offer me one.
She's with First Direct, and reckons they'll give me one; but what about other banks - are there any anyone else could reccomend, from experience?
(Heh. My dad applied for account with them once, but they said no, because of the little he was earning, being self-employed. But then, my mum - being a First Direct customer - phoned them up and they said yes! :D )
As well as needing to drive, I will also NEED one of these for when I am driving. I don't fancy the idea of carrying large amounts on petrol-money in my pocket (especially with the area my college is in!) when I could simply pay for it with a card.
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks.
I will start contacting a few different places for quotes and that, but I just wondered if anyone else had any ideas.
(I'll post this in "General Chat" aswell.)
Speaking of Taxi's, someone reckons it'll cost us £25-each for a one-way Taxi ride to the Christmas party, on the 23rd. Now, if I DO go with her, I was going to offer to pay her fare for her (if, at all, she did seem 'interested'). But that'd be £100 gone WITHOUT the cost of drinks and that later on; JUST for the rides there-and-back!! :S
I was having a mess-around with the radio in my car earlier and I somehow managed to pick-up radio signals from people picking up litter and stuff, down the road - very strange! :)
I'm actually feeling better about my test already, and I plan on staying around 5 below the speed-limits, just to be extra-safe. Really, I want to drag things on as long as possible this time, so not to rush into things are make more mistakes (while avoiding points-loss for 'hesitation', also). But yes, I'm feeling good about it... If I only this bloody flu/cold hadn't just hit me!
It SHOULD be gone by nexr Wednesday, but you can never know when `I´ have these things. It may have only been a minor one, but I once had a cold that lasted me the best part of a month! And, strangely enough, this is the first-time I've been ill for the best part of 2003!
So, I am concered for my health... A little.
I just hope I don't give it to my instructor in Monday's lesson...!! :S
Don't plan on going to work at all this weekend, so I'd better phone 'em up later and TELL them I'm NOT going in; even though my manager will probably try and talk me out of it - making me feel "guilty" for leaving them short-handed - like he always does, when you want a day off work they want you to work on!
But I AM ill. And I almost-never ask for time-off. And besides, it ain't likely to be busy at this time of the year. And I ain't waiting out in the cold, with my cold, for 2 days, for that customer that'll never come!
However, if I speak to `her´ on the phone, and she shows sympathy for me being ill, I'm sure it'll make me feel much-better already! ;)

Jeez, no pressure then?
What you say may well be true, but perhaps focusing *less* on the reasons for needing to drive will help you relax a little?
Other peoples' expectations don't matter. Not if you choose that they don't.
As for the girl, will things really be that different when you can drive? Sure, you'll have one less excuse not to talk to her, but I'm sure you'll find another ;^)

i want it!
I don't know what to expect this time; I just know it's going to be harder. I know I CAN pass, but I don't want to go into it too over-cofident - even though it worked well for me last time.
It's the pressure, really. I NEED to drive - for so-many reasons.
And now, there will be a lot of people expecting me to pass, second-time.
But I'm going to be nervous because I managed to fail last-time for one-or-two easy-to-make mistakes, despite doing so-well, overall.
I guess that, in a way, it feels like what it must be like to have thousands-of-pounds riding on one horse that'll be racing next Wednesday, or something... So-much could be gained if it wins (and I pass); while things could remain as 'tough' as they are if it fails to come in first-place.
I've just had another miserable winter's day at work, where everything is frozen and covered in ice. What's more, my so-called `Confidence´ gets the better of me again, and this cold that's been "coming" since Sunday is finally starting to arrive -- and just in time for next-Wednesday morning, I reckon...!! :(
But not in the voting thread :^p
