No it isn't (well... not yet, only been doing it for a month), tis very interesting though if you're into that sort of thing. There's a lot to learn in terms of studies that add weight to theories and it's a lot more scientific than I think a lot of people expected it to be but for me, someone who has an aptitude for the sciences but doesn't like them, it's a perfect compromise. Takes what I found to be the most interesting aspects of Biology (evolution basically), combined it with a bit of Sociology & throws in some interesting brain stuff. It appears that the social sciences interest me... been trying to change Politics for Sociology since the start of term but it ain't happening :-(

Nope, Psychology as you may have gathered from that ^. Philosophy's... OK. I took it because the college I went to doesn't offer Theology. The ethics & moral side of the course I find fascinating (if a little tedious at times) but the Plato side (we're reading The Republic) is just a bit too mindbending.

Yay. Dr Duck may get a job.

I kind of screwed up an online test a little bit, but not as badly as I thought I had.
They had a stupid flash-based reasoning test. A proper timed thing. To go back a page you had to click a button within the flash thingy, if you absent-mindedly clicked the back button on your browser, you screwed the whole thing up.
Hi.

But fortunately I was able to restart, and all was right with the world. I think I did well anyway. I'll find out soon enough.

In other news, my uni project grade gets decided on monday, my course grade finalised on wendnesday, and I find out.. a little way down the line. Nobody really knows when :^)

Cross your fingers for me dudes ;^)

P!ss easy. I had a couple of modules last year at uni, revised for a couple of hours and got a first in both. Also, the year before that tehre was an intro to pysch module; my only revision was literally a quick skim trhough the text book the night before. Got 61%!

You'll have to choose one direction sooner or later; there's absolutely no crossover between the first and last two, unlesd there's a degree/job in office acting.

And what the hell can you do with Philosophy in life, other than ponder all night?

I suppose its Philosophy then, it seems to be the only one that would seem interesting out of those four. My sister is going for a PhD in Philosophy and perhaps become a professor in Philosophy, and professors get more income than Secondary School or Primary School teachers.

Psychology eh? That passed through my mind (excuse the pun. No seriously - it wasn't intended) when I left high school as a subject to do at college but I turned it down because I love ICT.

What's it like? I've heard it's very hard.

Am currently doing AS' in Philosophy, Psychology, Politics & History. Out of those subjects I only actually like one of them, have no intentions of carrying any of them on to a level higher than A Level and have no interest in pursuing anything relevant to them as a career... which leaves me a bit screwed really. Hurrah!

That said I haven't even begun looking at career options so maybe I should pay a visit to Connexions and see what doors are open to me.

I have absolutely no idea what I want to do as a career. at the moment, I'm just thinking of staying in college until I've done whatever subjects interest me to open as many doors as possible, then deciding about uni.

That might sound like I'll be spending forever in college then, but I might not do everything that i have in mind. I'm currently doing an ND which is the equivalent of three A-levels in ICT. Afterwards, I'm thinking:
- HND in ICT
- Electrical engineering
- Mechanical engineering
- Drama
- Performing arts

Drama is currently my favourite choice out of the list, and one of the engineering ones, but we'll just have to see how it goes.

In keeping with the career ambitions: I've got as much direction as a burst balloon.

Hurrah!

I want to do a masters in something like creative writing. But I aint stick at Cambridge as it's too pricey and ARU (with the brilliant Sally cline) only do it at degree level.

Hmph.
