[Captain's Log: 10/03/04 - Day of the Edit Post Feature]
[Diary Entry: 7/7/05 - "We shall never forget"]
He seems willing to teach us everything. Not just what we should be doing ("by the book"), but, after going 'back-to-basics' for a little while, he'll have us fixing locks and stuff in no-time.
...AT LAST!!! :D
He gives some brilliant lectures, too. Only yesterday (his first day) he was telling us how we should all be able to fix locks and stuff by now - and start charging local people for our services! That's not even the best part... Apparently, the minmum you can charge for any Carpentery job is £20/25. So, for something as simple as only fitting a little peep-hole, for only 20-minutes work, you've got yourself the kind of cash you wouldn't get for half-a-day in your part-time job! :D
This is very intruiging to me... I like this guy already! :)
He said we should all go around wearing signs saying "I'm a Carpenter!".... ;D
Sames as it always goes. I do well, show a lot of positive things, only making my common mistakes of not being a little too 'forceful' at times along with some more brilliant manouveres ...Except my three-point turn, ALMOST!
Yeah, when it came to the second-point where you reverse, I didn't set a strong-enough bite for the 6' camber, and would've probably rolled straight into the lampost, had my instructor not been there! :S
But, that was it. Definitley one of my better lessons, though, in general (they're good for 'nearly-test times'). I've also noticed, in an improvement over the last few weeks, that I seem to drive better while wearing only contact lenses instead of glasses. I'd also noticed this during the build-up to my third (and last) failure-test, too.
I reckon it's one of those "confidence things"...
I feel better about myself when I think other people will see more "normal"-looking as opposed to a "Geek" in glasses or something...?
Speaking of lenses, Boots keep ripping me off. I keep opening the little sachets of Daily Disposables to find they're empty, aside from the solution liquid. :P
It's now exactly 13-days 'til my next test, and I might be driving me old motor later... Is that a bad sign? :S
:D

Calm down, clam down, i know stroking his beard must be somewhat magical ; )
When I went to the Playhouse in Epsom, he did many of the tricks you have pointed out. He did the one with the person that died using the Weegie (again, sp) Board and spelt a name out. I went several months ago and I do remember something falling over during the trick, but i'm not sure what. He did something on a dead friend too yes. About him being pure class, well you are not wrong there. I left his show feeling exploited in some way, because I had no explanation for what I had witnessed.
Also, did the bell fall off the table? And did he do something on his dead friend Richard Cox?
Glad your a fan too, he's pure class.

I've seen him live, what a guy, he shook my hand on the way out. His weegie (sp) board trick is scarrrrrry...scarrrrrry!
You mong.
