Ah, sorted everything. Pick up the tickets the the nec, reserved them, in row 6. Actually, when i went back to try again, first it offered me row 10, so i went through it again, and the exact same seats it had shown first time came up. Then gates screwed me again. Still, next time was row 6, so i gratefully managed to get them booked before ie6 uncerimoneously dumped me on my butt again.
Reserving a room in the travelodge, twice i called and my phone dropped out and cut me off, and to get through the automated options i had to select 1 then 3, to get to a person to take my booking. So all the while, i was sat there with 13 on my phone's display.
After jets making the final, villa playing at home the next day, and all the good luck going for us yesterday, things seem to be going slightly... wrong. Ah well, everything is booked now, and if my memory is correct, the travelodge is on the same street as stoodlbakers (or however it's spelt), with a conveniently big number of pubs in between. No more mid-wales tiny stinkhole clubs and pubs full of nationalist oddballs. Not for one weekend anyway : )

IE6 wouldn't let me click on a text input box, whenever i tried, it shut ie down. Still, with a spark of an idea, i tried using tab to get to the box, and persevered while it ran through all the links on the left of the page, and it let me sign in here.
Now i can go back and try to get tickets for the bbl trophy final again. Bit annoyed though, it offered me tickets at half court, 5 rows back. I tried to fill out the form, ie shut down. I doubt i'll be able to get hold of any that are that good now.
