What? You mean JC was telling a lie? I made a fool of myself? No!
"Press Packer Stephen previews the latest games console soon to hit the shops.
"I was really excited when I was asked to be one of the first to try out the new Nintendo GameCube.
First of all, the big advantage is that it's the cheapest of all the games consoles on the market.
But this is because you can only play games on it - unlike other consoles where you can play DVDs or have internet access.
I thought the graphics and sound effects were good and I especially liked Tony Hawkes Pro-Skater 3.
Some other good features were that it's very small which means it's very portable and you're able take it anywhere with you quite easily.
The GameCube also has four control pad sockets so you don't have to buy an extra part if more than two people want to play at the same time.
From Cube to GameBoy
It also has a great special feature where you can continue your game from the Cube to the GameBoy Advance.
But one big disadvantage is that unlike Playstation 2 where you can play old Playstation games, you can't use Nintendo cartridges in the GameCube - they only take new discs.
The control pad also took some time to get used to, the buttons were all different shapes and in different places to the old Nintendo.
I personally don't think the GameCube will be as popular as other game consoles.
But if you are really into games and can't afford the more expensive consoles then I would definitely recommend the GameCube."

I never saw that, what day was it on
DVD Player - £100 at least
1 Game - £40
Memory Card - £15
Extra pad - £25
And that comes too.... £180.
Oh, so you'll only need another £20 to afford all that! :D
Or another £60 for 2 games :S - but that's only £30 each.
