Solskjear i can still only get one game as its my mum thats paying fot the console, im paying for the games.
Yeah, I guess it does work out well as good marketing.
But still, £135 just sounds like a console in it's last year of development!! Not something new that could take the gaming world by storm!
It's just too cheap for my liking really, but my bank account will be happy! :D

You've been listening to those talk nonsence notables too much!
At £200 the X-Box was only £30 more than a Gamecube. And it offered DVD video playback. Also the specs of the X-Box are higher than those of the Gamecube.
It's not Nintendo being scared, more them having sence. If there's only £30 difference between consoles then some people might go for the more expensive one, if they're trying to decide which to buy. Making there a difference of £70 Nintendo are going to persuade LOADS of people to buy Gamecube! It's good marketing if you ask me!

I think that the PS2 has to follow the suit now, but maybe not for a short while first.
Everyone's expecting it to drop, and maybe even as low as the PSX went - less than £100 (£99.99). And it's only a matter of time before this does happen.
They won't do this 'just because the others have', no, it'll be because they'll find their sales have dropped right down. Now everyone already has a PS2, or they are going to buy one of the other 2 latest next-gen. consoles.
I also don't feel that Nintendo needed to drop the GameCube's price even lower, and it does seem like they are now 'scared' of the mighty X-box.
Still, it is great for all of us planning to get a GameCube, as we can now also afford more games and stuff to go with it!
And Joe Dark may be able to buy 2 games aswell!!

sorry for the slow reply. Was playing around with my particles again.
But, yer it's GREAT news about the Gamecube price!
I don't think i'm gonna buy any extra games though. Think I better save a bit of money..... hmmm... coming to think of it my brother might be getting me a job at the company he works at over the summer. Well I better think about saving some money for now. My mum was moaning at me yesterday cos I bought a PS2! "Just think what that money could buy you. Could get you driving lessons......"
It's still gr8 news though! I was worried after the X-Box came down that the Gamecube might not sell as good as it would have if X-Box was still £300, but now the Cube is only £135 it's still gonna give the ol' X-Box a good run for it's money!

Woohoo, i got myself a job comfirmed for the summer. This year i'm on better wages, better shifts (no starting at 6.30 or finishing at 11.30), less hours (so i'll have time to spend some of the money i earn), subsidised accomodation (£3 a night), and i don't have to walk for half an hour to get to work. And i've already sorted out my week holiday to go to basketball camp. Oh, and overtime and weekend rates are better.
Life is good...
