Cheers for that dude. Warwick and Cambridge, were already on my list, but I couldnt really think of any other Uni's, so that's muchly appreciated.

There is CS with Maths. I recommend Artificial Intelligence at Manchester; it makes good uses of maths, while still having a broad course content for the rest of CS and of course AI. Warwick and Imperial are also good if you can get in, as is Cambridge (Oxford's syllabus by comparison, is rather outdated).

In light of that, I'm also

I tried that, didn't happen for me, though of course there are the successful applicants. Good luck on that if you want to go for it.

You were right, damn crap. It would have been better spent just watching the first LOTR again.

I'm in the same position mate. I haven't done alot of the work that needs to be done for this year's coursework (one book still to read for English, and a whole load of History research left to do.) Plus I gotta look through a whole pile of prospectuses, choose what I'm going to do, where, for how long, etc.etc.
And I really want a car. But have very little money, and am trying to save for Uni. And, yep, no job here either, but A Levels as you say are very time consuming. Kinda feeling a bit bogged down :(

Arrrgh, this time of year is terrible. Getting back to Sixth Form, then knowing we've got to make our Uni choices. As of yet, I have a very vague idea of where I'd like to go, but I havn't been any open days, nor do I have a good idea of what type of course I want to do. I know primarily it has to be a Maths course, but I think I'd rather combine it with something like Computing. But then, what aspect of Computing would I choose? So if anybody could give me any advice about courses or Uni's that'd be much appreciated. I'm also feeling pressured to get a job or work experience, but with doing 4 A-Levels i'll have very little time for anything. In light of that, I'm also getting in touch with a few computing companies (EDS and such) for advice on the matter of Uni courses and such, and also in the hope that I could get a job with them, and then maybe get put thro' Uni by them. But that will probably never happen. Generally tho' would experience in the course subject help? Can anybody recommend anything? Cheers for reading this...

Yer, looked at some reviews most were 75% ish. Which if you think about it, isn't too bad. People criticise games that don't get 90+% scores, but wouldn't you be happy if you got 75% in your exams!?! It's a reasonably decent score. Also, if you read reader opinions on like Amazon, people that are interested in that type of game give it praise. The guy on IGN who reviewed it, summed up online reviews, or reviewers in general quite well "I don't really like this type of game, so I didn't really enjoy it. It's an alright game though, but could do with some action, but then that's not what these types of games are about."

muppets!

What film is it?

Online and magazine reviews in my opinion are far too much overcrical these days. It's why I only go for rentals and borrowing off people before buying.

There's a movie with Liv Tyler now, I'm off to watch it.

Not actually read any reviews of it. Mate of mine had it and he said it was good, and I was in the mood for a game of that type, so guess perhaps that's why I enjoy it more than some picky reviewer. Will go read some and see what ppl said.
