I prefer them to be boxed but if its a game that i wont have another oppertunity of finding ill get it how it is. I once got Ridge Racer 2nd hand for £8, it looked brand new.

Yeah Some manuals are better then others

I read them if I don't understand something.
And I usually read them before playing a new game anyway - incase I don't know the basic controls.
The good thing about the Rare Platformers is that all the controls and actions are all basically the same.
I also like to read what Cranky has to moan about in the DK64 manual.
And i've already got Majora's Mask - great game - well worth £25!
