You've probably had it now, but there's nothing to it really; it's not even an interview, more a chat.
Strange thing is, you might have asked me that question at uni...

I'm glad to not know 51% of America.
Not only are they cold, eerie, and they limit what you can do your spare 'after-work' time, but it makes for horrible driving conditions, especially when it's wet.
This time of year, through into the new year, is where my driving really gets put to the test. I haven't had an awful lot of experience, didn't take up on the Pass Plus scheme, and I have to drive through town - at 5pm - and my way back on college days... :S
Still, it is only twice a week, I suppose. And, on the other days, I've only got a short 10-minute drive from work.
If I just remember the basics, go steadily and stay safe and calm, I should be fine. When I got my license, I knew this'd be part of what comes with it, anyway :)
Leaving as early as possible would also be a good idea, I feel. If I can leave by 4.30pm (30 mins early), I should pass through town before it's too dark; left with the 'easy' route home for the darkness to reign. :)
PS. Icarus, I had my details for my Interview at the University of Manchester, for AI and Industrial Exp. So if you've got any advice etc. let me know, I'd really appreciate it. Cheers
Surely Q,A,O,P is easier as you use both hands!?!
Someone else who tried it complemented the fact that controls are the old Spectrum configuration! All the early games in the good ol\' days use to use Q,A,O,P Just with the advent of first person shooters and such did the \'usual\' then change.
:)
Cooky: Nice egg game! But can't you change the controls too something more.. easier to use? like:
W - up
A - Left
D - Right
S - Down
Anyway! thats my say on that, hehe, laters all :)
Unlike our last one, this comes with a battery-powered, infra-red keyboard and mouse combo. Now, I did wonder what that other, smaller, mouse-type-thing was, and so, from messing around with it, I managed to "temprarily disconnect" the two from the PC or something, just by clicking the button (...over-and-over-and-over again!).
Gave the bloke a call, and all was soon sorted. 'Just, stick a pencil in here; hold the device over this and... Hey, presto!'. (Pah. I could've figured that out, had I really been looking! :P )
I also managed to get the PC "stuck" sometime before this, after pressing the reset button again, impatiently hitting the power button, and then... There was nothing! :o Just a blank screen, with all the lights on the box. NONE of the buttons were working! (Then, I figured out that by pressing the two together you can still shut it down, though.)
It has a nice flatscreen monitor, also. Although, I must say I'm dissapointed I cannot find a way of using my headphones as an output audio device, since the speakers are IN the monitor, and yet, the plug's on the PC - and through the headset, all you get is silence.
Any ideas, anyone?
Plus, we've got a bog-standard CD/DVD-ROM here, since my sister's having the old PC and CD-RW drive... Then again, at some of the prices I've seen, I should be able to got for a DVD-RW driver no problem! :)
It certainly runs a lot smoother than our old machine, although I have noticed programs and pages often take a longer while to load...
Still, fot £500, this ain't bad. Ain't not bad at all. :)
(And, with 5 just around the corner, I'm almost certain to spiral back into my Championship Manager addiction before this year is out! :S )
:)
