At least it should shut up everyone whinging about 'women never win anything like that...' - there have only been 2 BBs before (in this country anyway, and nobody who spouts that crud knows who won the others), and if they'd both been won by men anyone who wouldn't have had the same attitude is a two-faced tart. So there was a 50-50 chance it would have been won by the same gender both times even if neither one were more likely than the other.

And now they can shut up with their unfounded ramblings :O)

Argh. Don't even want to think how much money i spent today.

Pool cue - reduced from disgusting amount of money to painful amount of money. But it really is incredible quality, and i have both the game and potential to make it a worthwhile investment.

Basketball shoes- tomorrow i go to basketball camp (1 week residential thing), and the soles were coming off my old ones. Tried gluing them back with special glue. Worked. For about 20 minutes :O(
Purchased from discounty place, look hideous, but are infinitely light and very comfortable.
Damned expensive though. Well, not by modern basketball shoe prices, they were quite cheap. But in my terms, on a day when i spent so much anyway, damned expensive.

Football boots- just joined a local team (equivalent of sunday league level), and if i'm going to play, i'll have to have them. Just not anything special - i'm pretty lame, but enjoy it anyway.
Also purchased from a discounty place, £15, rrp £70 - :OS mixed with :OD, and they are surprisingly nice.

So oddly enough everything i bought was good or great value, and it was all stuff i do need to be able to pursue my sports (if pool is a 'sport'). But in my financial situation (student), spending over £100 in a day just hurts.


Now then, play this season for the amateur team, recruited by the local welsh league semi-pro team next year, then traded to an english div. 1 side, promoted or traded to the premiership, play premiership football in my fourth season, selected for england just in time for the next world cup.
