Zone Of Enders should be out the 1st of next month, the 1st ZOE game looked great, i played the demo and loved it but it was just one of those good games that i didnt buy for no particular reason. The 2nd is supposed to be an improvement on the 1st in every conceivable way, is it a must get?

no need to get on the offencive, all im saying is both games need a change, i dont care how big the story changes in resi evil, go through door, find key, kill zombie, go back to hall, use key, kill zombie, find other key, go back to main room, use key, find crest and so on and so forth, is not much fun any more, and before you go off on one again, i havent played TR since number 3, i am not a TR loyalist, i was just hoping that it would have changed for the ps2, if it doesnt i wont lose any sleep over it.

Minor story changes? It isn't a "change" in story at all. It's a completely new part of the story for every game. Unlike Tomb Raider, who's story is basically "You need to find the Eye of The Gods! Oh, and watch out for that boulder".

You're kidding yourself if you think the next Tomb Raider is going to be a massive improvement.

and yeah people saying FF isnt original just astound me by their blindness, plus there inconsideration, there on number 12, its getting harder to be original. At least its always a new cast, new monsters, new story, new setting, new battle system and not same cast, more detailed monsters, same-ish story, same old akward control system. End of the day magazines just want to sell.

Blank what you said about tomb raider is exactly the same about resi evil. Minor improvents, minor story changes, better gfx, full marks, same old game. I still have faith that Tomb Raiders next outing will be different because i too got sick of them eventually, like i did resi evil. And if i read reviews and the game doesnt sound any different (or different enough) then be assured i wont touch it.

They say they are. But they're not. Just look at the screens, it's exactly the same.

Ironically I've never been a driving game fan.

I can see how someone would think that, but I still enjoy them. They have something over Tomb Raider - a storyline.

I have Tekken 4 but only because I had a GAD to claim. If there isn't anything new I won't fork out for it. Tekken 4 didn't have enough new stuff for me, luckily I could get it anyway.

Fifa got stale ages ago.

The thing that annoys me about Tomb Raider is that it constantly gets full marks in magazines such as OPS2. Every new game has a minor improvement, "Wow, she can hang from a ledge. That's worth £40 alright", and you have to collect some ancient artifact. Then games like Final Fantasy X get marked down for not being as original - there's more innovation in every single Final Fantasy than every Tomb Raider sequel.

That's a bit like saying it's not worth getting Gran Turismo 4 because it's just more driving around in circles. Or Resident Evil: Outbreak because it's just more zombie killing. Or Tekken 4 because it's just another fighter. Or FIFA 2004 because it's just another footie game.

Next thing you know gamers will be asking for 'originality'
