GC Pokemon RPG! GC Pokemon RPG!
*excited*
And online too, will be useful for trading and stuff.
*dances*
Can't say I love Pokemon, but the game are top quality. This is all anyone ever wanted.
Hope the online bit is only for trading and chatting - so there's an actual proper 1 player game. Mostly because I doubt I'll be playing online for ages.

Because its only one element of an rpg (well mainly one). The capturing, traing etc of your creatures. Take FF for example, you have your main story, your sub-stories, your sports, your weapon building, your magic building, your character building, your aeon/summon whatever capturing/colecting/learning, your aeon/summon building, your chocobo racing, blitzball (lets just say lots and lots of mini games), dozens of side quests and so forth.
Never did i say this was a bad thing, they have focused in on a specific element and explored to its full potential, it just doesnt work for me thats all

Hmmm... I'm intrigued as to what you mean by 'full on RPG' being a big RPG fan myself... granted, I haven't played a Pokemon game since Red, but the only thing I think was 'missing' from Red was a good plotline (and lets be honest, a lot of RPGs have crap, cheesy plots anyway). Granted, the catching creatures element did eradicate the 'Hero' idea that most RPGs have and rely on to account for the player character, but that's just another RPG cliche... not necessarily 'essential' to give a 'proper' RPG experience... anyway, how do you know this Pokemon game won't deliver a 'full-on' (however you define that) RPG experience, having never played it or even seen screenshots of it? An RPG can be a little bit limited on the Game Boy, and this version is on the Cube...
Well. I'm kinda interested. Despite not having played a Pokemon game since the original...
Be the bigger (wo)man.
