I have Pirates Gold, but I was wondering, as its buggy and looks awful, if there were any similar Carribean based games, where you can generaly make a nuissance of youurself and chase after governers daughters...

Try 1602 AD, or another one of that series by Sunflowers, eg Anno 1602 or 1503 AD.
