Almost all set on buying a PS2 (as price drops to £199)
when my mate tells me that the X-box wil be superior in all departments. I am sceptical of this, due to the fact it is Microsofts first hit on the console market.
Everything I see about the ps2 appeals to me, but I have only saw a small number of screenshots of X-boz and do not know much of the PS2's spec in comparison.
Do you guys think the PS2's price will drop anymore?

I just bought a ps2 today and they are great. Althougth the x-box will be better and is the same a p3 700 it will be very expensive at first and will not drop for a while thats why I got the ps2. get a ps2 now and wait for two years until the x-box drops. Thats what I'm doing.

The Xbox is, on paper at least, more powerfule than the PS2 and the Gamecube.

It will no doubt be successful, but there are varying degrees of success. Whether it will be as big as the Sony or Nintendo machines remains to be seen.

It will also be at least £100 more expensive than PS2 (though £299 isn't a bad price) and it will not play DVD's 'out of the box' like PS2 will.

Basically, it's up to you.

If what you see on the PS2 appeals to you, then buy one. Forget what your mates say, because you're the one spending the money - get what YOU want, and don't be sidetracked by their opinions. At the end of the day, only you know what's best for you.

There won't be another price drop for ages. At least until the GC is launched, where Sony will undercut them like they did last time.

But at 199, it's a steal, and especially if you like the games, why wait for a machine that you only have seen a few pics for, uncertain about the stability and costs 100 quid more?

It sounds like your mind is allready made to me.

If you are a true football nutta:D...u will get one now, becasue u need one to play the best football to be ever released. PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER!

I dont think the price will drop down any more this year, because there is no competition. And seeing as x-box will be £300 i dont see Sony dropping there price any more then.
