This is just something off the top of my head. Not thought through very well at the moment. Surely since microsoft are developing the x-box and the system has similar architecture to a PC it must be a reasonable guess that in time an emulator could be created to play x-box games.

Views anyone??

Depending on development, I think we will see x-box emulators but I cannot guess when. If Microsoft can adapt and keep this one in their own bag, I would not be surprised to see the future x-box as unit to be connected with your current PC. It is about time that Microsoft had a go at owning the games market as well as the Operating Systems. I don't like the sound of it, but a PC/X-Box software combo will have a lot of draw as more and more of us own PCs.

PC hardware is getting faster. What is considered top spec at the moment will be dixons standard by next year. PCs will be able to run the X-Box games off the shelf before long, people will definately make an emulator, i bet Bleem will have a go...

The X-Box could have problems for that very reason. The hardware in the XBox will be dated within a year.

Oh, No!

I'm not saying don't buy an X-box or a PC, all Im saying is do you think it would be possible at some point in the future to see X-Box games being emulated on a top of the range PC?

On closer inspection to the x-box hardware a lot does look similar but I would imagine tht there will be extra software to prevent this and also extra drivers for the DVD drive which would make such a thing very unlikely.

But due to the fact that that the x-box is similar to a PC will that make it more likely to "crash" ?

True...

Emulators are crap anyway... not the SNES ones... or the NES ones, but the Saturn to PS2 games are all crap... It's better to just buy a console and think nothing more of it.

Or instead why not just buy a blimmin' Xbox?!!!!

After all, even my current PC spec would be around £500 new.

I see the point though - Bleem ran like a dog on my PC so I wouldn't like to see the required specs to run an Xbox emulator.....

Microsoft Are mainly creating new Windows 2002 stuff. So because they work with that kinda stuff everyday, thats most probably why they have the Programmnig Language. Work with what your good at as i always say!

Theirs just too many Emulators on the web, it would take years to search up all of them and sue the People who made them!
