Ok, the irony of the situation:

Get GTA3 before you lot thanks to SR Chelmsford, played it once since and that's been it so far.

One question based on my 4hrs play in 5 days:
How do you cross to the other parts of the city?
The bridge is down and damned if I could get over to the other 2 sections.

I admit, I don't know what the heck I'm doing on this game because I haven't had ONE SINGLE CHANCE TO PLAY IN OVER 5 DAYS.
Nor can I tonight.

Bah

I showed it to a mate at lunchtime (the GAME you dirty girl), and he did a George Michael... went an loitered with intent in the gents.

Then he nicked the Landstalker and started the 'Walk in the Park' mission (it's called something like that, anyway), whereby he got one checkpoint, then got the car stuck...

I got Quake 3 last weekend, but been playing GTA3 too much, so it's still in it's plastic wrapper. I guess I'll have to give it a go at some point, but stealing amulances, driving to emergencies and then running over the people that need your help is still far too amusing.....

that showed how much I know about the PS2 controller...

I knew it clicked, and therefore had to be a button, but I didn't know it was called R3. Makes sense I supose.

Cheers YH.

oh, and I got Timesplitters the other day, after a long wait. Bloomin' marvelous game that, still getting used to the controls on it though...

You don't have to *avoid* the cops unless you have a wanted rating. While there is a lot of driving between places to do, it certainly doesn't get boring.

At any point you can steal a car, and certain vehicles give you sub-games to play.

GTA3 is many games rolled into one. Racing, shooting, Crazy Taxi, Driver, and more.

You'd probably have to be the most miserly gamer in the world not to get *some* enjoyment out if this game!

Answer me this question too:

Are the game missions mostly based around driving to places, avaioding cops and other such things similar (but developed upon) the original games, or is it a new look at the idea?
