"BBC coverage will start at 2305 BST on BBC1 on 30 October"

However, one thing i don't understand is the need for it to be a big symbolic thing revolving around the fact that it's a game between sports teams from new york and washington.
Don't get me wrong, i mean no disrespect to the memories of those who died, or to their families, and i'm not saying we shouldn't remember/comemorate the events of sept. 11, but what relevence does it have to the basketball game? And why will the programme feature those affected?
Surely those looking to remember the events have no interest in seeing a basketball match, and those looking to see Mike come back don't also desperately want to be reminded of the terrorist attacks.
Sure, nice coincidence, new york and washington on the first day of the season, what's more, Jordan will be there. But how does it really relate to saying
"The idea is to represent a big healing moment - two teams, two cities affected by 11 September,"
Sounds to me like a cross between a bit of a coincidence and an opportunity for money to be made.
Still, i know where i'll be 30th oct, 11pm.
And hello? It may've been an attack on America, but Britons were killed as well. So it's not entirely an 'American tragedy.'
or "so is that like a three point turn?"
"...and that was another 3 pointer, right?"
["yes"]
"i understand those are quite difficult"
pure genius
