Did anyone else get this. I did, and although I haven't had the patience to sit down a long time with it, experimentation tells me this is very good. Lot's of options and stuff. Nice.

Only as a jokey thing. I find him really funny. His "I just wanna love ya baaaybay!" and human beatbox things make me vomit with laughter. Well, almost.

Well, I was expecting to pick them both up on Friday in a package, so I personally expect they will be bundled together. But like I said, the reason the game is so cheap is to allow people to get the mic and not end up paying any more than a normal game. Then when the mic is released, I s'ink they will be sold together for £35-40.

Nice, now it's just finding the money.

In OPS2 it said the mic came with it - will it come with the game in July or have to be bought separately?

Both. You can also do stuff like add echos etc. Like on the old PSOne CD Player, you can put you voice in 'rooms'. So for example, you can put your voice in a box so it sounds muffled, or you can put it in a church so it echos and sounds all 'boomy'. You can also do effects like make your voice 'alien', 'robot', etc. And the sampler with the mic comes out in July, so that people get used to the software first. Like I say, it will probably be about a tenner, as OPSM2 said the game and sampler are the price of a normal game, and as the game was £30 or less ('pends on where you got it), the sums speak for themselves.

And can you actually just record your voice, rather than turn the notes you hum into an instrument? What I mean is can you record your own vocals?

Right. The answer is no. You can only connect the sampler to another audio source. So the only option would be to sample from your CD player for music CDs. I think you might be able to record of TVs though, so if you had another PS2, you could hook it up to another TV and record your sound from that TV to your first PS2. But I doubt you have two PS2s? :D

Ah, it's loads better. Rather than treating each riff you put in as an individual (For example, exactly the same riffs were previously treated as totally different riffs, even though they played the same sample). So if you had 'Piano Tune' riff three times in the same song and 'Piano Tune' riff took up 5k, then the old game would do 3 X 5K and take up 15K. But this game treats same riffs as the same. All the riffs used are put in a library, and when it comes to the part in the song when that riff is used, it will read the data from the library, so you can put as many as the same riff in your like and it wont take up anymore memory. So this time 3 X 'Piano Tune' would only take up 5k. Any ammount of this riff would still take up 5k. This means that you now easily have enough memory to make long songs. The video works the same, but they do take up more memory, but that is understandable.

I'll probably pick it up sometime in the future.

But can you take samples off CDs by putting them in the console? I'm sure you could with 2000.
