The game forums are closing, so i am moving the popular FF forum here. No spamming, just 100% FF. Let's start with a question.... which of the FFs is the best?

Ash is right,
When you're all leveled up, and for a fair while before, they're just a waste of time.
You can usually do better damage with multiple physical attacks than any summon. And limit breaks just rule and are a lot quicker.

For example, in FFX - Wakka's slots can do 12 lots of 99,999 HP. Whereas any aeon can do about 99,999 on it's own - then it gets killed.

Useless.

They. All. Suck.

Why attack someone, doing 500-odd damage to them, when you can call up a big hairy monster, only to find that the big thing is a poof which can do half the damage you can and have to change back to the normal character again.

Yeah I got Odin.

Had a little look myself.

Have you got Odin from the ruins already? You can't do the Tonberry thing unless you have.
Then it says just fight about 20 Toberrys (in a row) in the bottom section of the ruins, then you'll fight the Tonberry King - beat him (he's >very< strong) he'll join you as a GF.

Oh, 'twas a long time ago.
But I remeber having a load of trouble with them as well.
Something like getting 20 chef's knives, is it? Then something happens .... and then...... no, can't remember.

Have you checked out gamefaqs.com?

I was just wondering, on FF8, with the Tonberry's, do you need to kiil all 20 in the limited time or can you keep coming back? Also, I would like some tactics for defeating them. Thanks.
