The game forums are closing, so i am moving the popular FF forum here. No spamming, just 100% FF. Let's start with a question.... which of the FFs is the best?

I may be planning on getting 1-6 for my PS2 (well its for the PS but i can play them on my PS2). I know the graphics are shoddy but i couldnt care less. Plus it would only cost me £40 which aint too bad for 5 games (3 isnt out because the U.S 3 is actually FF6 so 3 has never been released to the western world...not to my knowladge anyway).

My main plus point for 7 was the story, is Skies story any good (im not trying to dis-prove you, infact i chose Skies as my GAD, im just curious about it)
I i beleive it could be better than 8+9 and FFX takes its time getting off the ground.

Now THAT is something. I can spend over 100 hours on most FF doing everything possible.

Okay, I just got rid of 6, 7, 8 and 9. 10 is the only FF i have now.

It's an excellent game, and sifficult enough too. Plus, it does have more sidequests than any FF perhaps.
I can't really rate it that well compared to a Final Fantasy game however, as I thiink it's totally different, even though they are much alike gameplay style.
But, for any GC owner who even remotely like's RPG's, it is a must buy.
I now like it more than Zelda. ANd Zelda's a great game.

and the japanese will probably get that game before we get FFX-2 as well. Stupid long waiting times.
Final Fantasy 20 will rock.

Looking forward to novemeber when FFX-2 is released as well as FF-CC for the GC, 2 FF at once, i think i'll spontaniously combust come this november.
Well, Skies Of Arcadia is brilliant.
It's got a great plot and a few side quests too.
I miss the time gauge from before which let you attack more often, or slowly depending on it's speed. SKies has it so that you all get an equal amountof attacks in the same time.
They speak a little, only to say their special moves and stuff at the end of each battle really, which is good, as the speech in FFX was truly annoying.
95% I give it.
