I think that you just have to defeat 20 of them - the time limit is for Odins quest.
I'm not real sure, but I think that Diablos is a good GF to use against them - get from cursed lamp.

I never got 'the End' although I saw it come up on the odd occasion... I was never lucky enough to actually get it as my limit break.
