The chocobo game was poor, but thats because we didn't have the right peripheral.

Short? I've spent longest time on it outta all my games, never mind FF's.
Repetitive? Aren't all RPG's?

Yeah, but that's assuming that they have it cast on themselves, and if they don't you have to cast it on them as well. But you can always just use hi-potions.

I personally dont use GF's or summons on any Final Fantasy. Apart from Knights of the round on Ruby Weapon.

Anyway, I can't remember but I know Carbuncle is in 6 and 8, so I'm sure I'm right in saying he was in 7 as well. Or did he skip 7 and go into 9?

You can use magical healing. You cast it on the enemy and bounce it off them. In many cases the enemy will try to outsmrt you by reflecting itself, which makes it easier. That's why I love FF more than any other RPG, the enemies can be so fiendish!

Also in there are skills which multiply the power of a spell which is reflected off an ally on to the enemy. EXTRA useful.

Reflect can be useful, but you have to be very skilled. You can't use magical healing while you're doing it. And a lot of the time your enemy will actually absorb the magic that they cast, so for instance if they cast fire on you they are likely to either gain energy from being hit with a fire spell or just receive a neutral effect. That's where scanning them comes in handy.

But if you want to put reflect on at all, then Carbuncle is the way to do it - it quickly puts reflect on everyone in one turn, and you won't use up any reflect spells (they'll probably be junctioned, so using them will make your stats go down). However, you probably won't use Carbuncle that often, so it will take a while for the bar to go down.

GFs aren't just about what they can do in battle, though. It's all the abilities they give you that make a real difference.

No, it makes spells cast at you bounce off and hit the person who cast them. I presume you know that, so why are you acting do dense? Tell my why that is useless.
