By the way, instead of getting an FFVII guide, why not just try and find the secrets yourself? I'd get it after playing through the game once or twice so you don't spoil it. You can probably find the info on the net anyway, there are a few really good sites out there.
That's why I seldom ever use a gaming mags scores to bu ya game. I do use them to look at how the game is laid out and if I would like it.

No there is not a world map until you get later in the game. Later in the game you are able to you a airship to take you anywhere that you want to go and there you have a world map. Not having a world map really doesn't affect the game that much because in each area you get a new map of the area.
I really want to import final fantasy x on the web.
I am english though and the only way i can afford a ps2 is to buy it in england so if i do import the game from america will it work on my english ps2?
