I'd better pre-order FFVI soon then, I didn't realise it was March 1st.
By the way, instead of getting an FFVII guide, why not just try and find the secrets yourself? I'd get it after playing through the game once or twice so you don't spoil it. You can probably find the info on the net anyway, there are a few really good sites out there.

Some people are lightweights. They don't like the bigger games like FF and Metal Gear. They like simple fun, games like Parappa and Burnout. FF is too much for them.
I guess we will have to see what the game actually plays like on March 1st eh? I personally think that it is a fantastic offer-£10 for a great FF classic plus a demo of the future FF classic.
What it is they just have a few people playing the games and rating them. Not everybody likes FFX and if on person out of three really doesn't like the game then it causes the games score to go down.
That's why I seldom ever use a gaming mags scores to bu ya game. I do use them to look at how the game is laid out and if I would like it.

Edge is biased against PS2. FFX has exceelent marks everywhere else. They are being picky.

No there is not a world map until you get later in the game. Later in the game you are able to you a airship to take you anywhere that you want to go and there you have a world map. Not having a world map really doesn't affect the game that much because in each area you get a new map of the area.
