Look on the last page for what I said. That bloke who turns into a monster - you have to refine the items you get I think.

go to the island closest to hell or esthar and look around to find a guy in black talk to him and you will fight an elnoyle and will get energy crystals from defeating it convert them into pulse ammo using ifrits ammo refine or eventually fight ruby dragons on island closest to hell they are rare but you can get them from him sometimes

does anybody know where the pulse ammo is?

yea i know - do you know anything about where pulse ammo is?

getting the lionheart is definately worth it because with 255 strength you can wipe out ultima weapon in one go with the lionheart finisher

Thats what I wanted to do but it will take a long time because you need youre characters to have maxed out stats as well as 99999hp to stand a chance against the dark aeons.

Or rather than spoiling the game using Zanmato the whole time you could always try and beat him properly of course...
