i found it easiest to beat the dark aeon by cheating...

but if you do get back into besaid talk to the lady with the dog outside the temple and she will give the aeon you first got (vale-something) a second overdrive

Heh, you'll need loads of training to beat the dark aeon, you need atleast 27,000hp, so you can survive 3 attacks.You must also max out all your stats ( over 100 ).Make sure you get all the Ultimate Weapons, including Sigils and Crests.Stock up on Elixers.Make Sure Yojimbo can do over 9999hp.

Battle: Make Yuna go first ( switch someone for her ) summon Yojimbo and bet all your money.He should do an enormous amount of damage.If your lucky he can kill The Dark Aeon in one shot.

How the hell do you defeat that Dark Aeon in Besaid??

Its killed me four times now. I've got all of my Aeons Overdrives charged up, but after i used Mega Flare with Bahamut, it then killed me with Energy Ray, then somehow used it straight after on all of my characters!

Any tips anyone

You can enter Besaid, just go to it from the Airship.

you cant even enter besaid and if you cant do 99999 damage you have no chance at all as well dark shiva guards macalania temple

Do i go up to the door towards the Cloister of Trials to face him or where? Or does it just do a cutscene?

there is no way you could not have gotten the treasure in bevelle because the treasure blocks your way and you have to open it to continue

yes, unless you have already got the treasure from there
